Prof. Al-Ghamdi is the Associate Dean for Research and Partnerships and an Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Engineering at KAUST, where he also directs the Urban Lab. His work applies multidisciplinary methods to transportation, water, energy, materials, and indoor environmental systems. He advances sustainability, resilience, and decarbonization through research and national collaboration. He also leads major initiatives on lifecycle transparency and will open, moderate, and guide the workshop’s roadmap session.
