OUTREACH

The College of Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University is one of the youngest technical colleges in the region, established only one year before my joining. Through my participation in committees at the department, college, and university levels, I played a crucial role in creating and running the college’s programs, defining administrative regulations, and shaping the college’s unique academic identity. My contribution includes sitting on the department’s highly critical and demanding Graduate Program Committee, the college’s Learning and Curriculum Committee, and the university’s Conditional Admission Committee. Furthermore, I am active in many ad-hoc duties, like student recruitment campaigns, seeking to increase the recognition and visibility of HBKU locally and internationally

Learning and Curriculum Committee (LCC)

Member (Sep 2018–Present): The Learning and Curriculum Committee (LCC) is tasked with assuring the quality of academic curriculums across all divisions of the college through review and approval of curriculums. The LCC is responsible for the development and introduction of policies and amendments to curriculums to ensure their alignment with university and college policies as well as international standards. I have represented the Division of Sustainable Development since September 2018.

Conditional Admission Committee (CAC)

Member (Apr 2019–Present): The Conditional Admission Committee (CAC) is tasked with defining the criteria of conditional admission and making admission decisions for applicants across all of the university’s colleges who have not met the admission criteria, but the colleges see others justifications for admission. I have represented the College of Science and Engineering on this committee since April 2019.
