Sir Edward Byrne AC is the fourth President of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology and a distinguished leader in global higher education. A renowned neuroscientist, he previously served as President of King’s College London and Monash University, shaping major academic and research developments at both institutions. Knighted in 2020 for his contributions to medical science and education, he now guides KAUST’s mission to advance research, innovation, and national impact in support of Saudi Vision 2030.
