Dr. Abdulaziz Aljodai is the General Manager of National Priorities and Missions for Energy and Industries at the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA). Prior to joining RDIA, he held various leadership and technical roles, including serving as Director of Corporate Programs at SABIC. During his tenure, he spearheaded the development and implementation of the world’s largest CO₂ recovery and purification technology and served as SABIC’s counterleader for the historic shipment of blue/low-carbon ammonia from Saudi Arabia to Japan, enabling subsequent exports to South Korea and Taiwan.
Dr. Aljodai has been recognized as the convener and CCUS lead for the EU-GCC Clean Energy, funded by the European Commission. He also serves as a steering committee member for hydrogen initiatives at KFUPM, Energy MP, and the Innovation Zero Awards, collaborating with leaders from institutions such as the University of Cambridge, Microsoft, and the European Innovation Council.
He has represented Saudi Arabia at prestigious global events, including COP, the G20, and US Climate Week, and holds multiple patents in renewable energy and environmental technologies
