The KAUST Workshop: Greening the Giga – Advancing Sustainability in Saudi Arabia (GTG 2025) will take place from January 27–29, 2025 at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). The workshop will be hosted in Building 19 (Halls 1, 2 and 3) and Building 20 (Auditorium).

KAUST is located in Thuwal, approximately one hour north of Jeddah. The nearest major airport is King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) in Jeddah, which connects to several international hubs, including Frankfurt, London, New York, and Washington D.C. For international travelers, JED is the most convenient gateway to KAUST.

Important Note: Attendees are responsible for managing their own accommodations and expenses. A complimentary daily shuttle service will be provided from KAEC to KAUST, with travel time approximately 30 minutes each way, including gate access procedures.
Nearby Accommodations in Jeddah
Located about 70 km from KAUST, Jeddah offers a variety of accommodation options. While ideal for single-day visitors commuting to KAUST by taxi (approximately US$50 one-way or 188 SAR), this option is not recommended for multiple-day participants due to the lack of regular shuttle services.
Attendees are responsible for arranging their own transportation between hotels/airports and the conference venue at KAUST, unless otherwise specified if a shuttle service is provided.
