Dr. Andreas Ciroth is the founder and director of GreenDelta, a consulting and software company specializing in sustainability assessment and life cycle analysis (LCA). An environmental engineer with a PhD in error calculation in LCA from TU Berlin (2001), Andreas leads the openLCA project, an open-source sustainability assessment software.
An international expert in social LCA, Andreas co-chairs the working group on meta-data descriptors in the Global Network of Interoperable Databases. He has extensive experience in LCA and capacity-building initiatives, including co-chairing an LCA training in Sri Lanka (2017) and supporting UNEP on LCA database projects in Malaysia and Brazil (2015).
He serves as the subject editor for uncertainties in the International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment, a role he has held since 2004, and is a member of the journal’s Editorial Board.
