Biography

Saud R. AlKhaled is an Associate Professor of Architecture at Kuwait University. His research examines urban climate in hot-desert cities, emphasizing heat mitigation, outdoor thermal comfort, and built environment performance. He holds degrees in Architecture (B.Arch, Kuwait University) and Urban and Environmental Planning (MUEP, Ph.D., Arizona State University). Before academia, he worked with Teng & Associates (Chicago), KAYAN Office (Kuwait), and KFH Real Estate (Kuwait). Dr AlKhaled previously held research appointments at Arizona State University’s SHaDE Lab and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sustainable Design Lab, contributing to solutions-oriented projects on urban building energy modeling and desert climate resilience.
