Elie Bou-Zeid is Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of Princeton’s Program in Environmental Engineering and Water Resources at Princeton University. He was the former and founding chair of the Princeton Metropolis Project, which aims to guide technological innovations toward a pathway that improves urban living. He specializes in atmospheric science and modeling, with a special emphasis on numerical, experimental, and analytical studies of air flow and transport dynamics near the earth surface. His work is applied in urban microclimates and wind energy studies. He is a High Meadows Environmental Institute Associated (HMEI) Faculty and is affiliated with HMEI’s Grand Challenges Program.
