Biography

Reem Alhakeem is an Environmental Engineering student at UC Berkeley and a KAUST Gifted Student Program Scholar, passionate about sustainable water and energy systems. She has earned national and international recognition for her work in circular desalination and wastewater treatment, placing in the Misk SDG and Mid-Pacific competitions. Reem currently serves as President of the Saudi Arabian Association at Berkeley, leading community-building initiatives and organizing events that foster cross-cultural engagement. With experience in environmental research, consulting, and student leadership, she aspires to bridge innovation and policy through practical, impact-driven solutions.
