Biography

Malek Mohammad is a researcher with expertise in sustainable construction practices and advanced building materials. He holds a PhD in Sustainable Studies from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (2021), an MSc in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, Qatar (2016), and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (2009). His work includes life cycle assessments (LCA) of 3D concrete printing, carbon capture and utilization, and the development of high-performance thermal insulation concrete. Malek’s research aims to promote sustainable, energy-efficient construction techniques.

Research Interests

Malek Mohammad's research focuses on sustainable construction practices, particularly through the life cycle assessment (LCA) of innovative methods like 3D concrete printing. He also explores advancements in carbon dioxide capture, storage, and utilization, alongside investigating the properties and microstructure of high-performance thermal insulation concrete, aiming to enhance building sustainability and energy efficiency.
