VISITING RESEARCHERS
Visiting PhD Student, Atmospheric Sciences (June 2025 - November 2025)
Lakshman Kesireddy is a weather and climate researcher focused on synoptic and mesoscale conditions and future climate extremes in changing climates. He has expertise in land surface and boundary layer interactions, urban climate, and the WRF model. He earned his Master of Technology in Atmospheric Sciences at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India.
Lakshman's research focuses on improving the predictability of heatwaves and severe convective events using numerical weather models, with a particular emphasis on their interaction with urban morphology and future projections of heatwaves and associated heat stress.
