Biography

Erica Dell’Amico is an architect specialized in sustainability within the built environment with academic, hands-on, and on-site experience. She carried out more than 80 projects as a Director of her own firm in the fields of residential architecture, Retail Design, and Interior Design in France and abroad, notably in the United Kingdom and Italy. Erica’s expertise, within both the architectural and the urban design fields, covers sustainability, energy efficiency, life-cycle thinking, circular economy, and community engagement. She holds a MRes in Urban Design from the University of Strathclyde, UK, and a MArch Sc (Dist) in Architecture from the University of Genoa, Italy. She is currently a Research Specialist at KAUST, Saudi Arabia. Erica’s research focuses on passive architectural strategies and innovative energy-efficient approaches within the historical vernacular environment.
