Biography
Charles Sexton completed his Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama in 2022. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). At KAUST, his research focuses on resilient urban development, including simulations of residential building energy consumption and building envelope designs. Charles has gained additional experience through his work at the Advanced Research Center Aramco, specializing in robotics. He has been recognized for his academic achievements with multiple awards, including Bronze and Silver Medals in Individual and Team Math Olympiads at the Ashgabat, Turkmenistan competitions in 2022 and 2023, as well as an Outstanding Performance Award from Aramco in 2023.

Charles’s research focuses on the built environment, emphasizing building energy simulations and heat transfer to optimize energy demand and design. His work explores integrating renewable energy sources into building systems to enhance efficiency and sustainability. By analyzing energy performance and developing innovative design strategies, Charles contributes to reducing energy consumption and improving environmental impact. His research advances energy-efficient building practices and supports the transition toward more sustainable and resilient built environments.
